Richard was born in Mazabuka and is seven years old.
Richard is Grace’s younger brother. He is a fun loving boy who I had the pleasure of seeing grow from a timid boy into a boy who laughs a lot and enjoys playing every game I have shared with the kids. He loves looking at the books in our library, playing games, being with his friends and learning things about the Bible.
Richard looks forward to going on walks to find different kinds of flower and plants. He enjoys having stories read to him. Richard is very caring to others. Richard like to line up for a goodnight hug. One night we finished watching a children’s movie and I said if anyone wanted a hug before they go to bed then come over to me, Richard was on his feet as fast as ever. I was touched by his love to me.
We don’t know how long we will have Grace and Richard with us, but I know we enjoy every day we have them, they are very special children. All our children have suffered in their short lives and they appreciate all they have even tho it's not much, they are cared for in every way we can and are loved and that’s what counts. I hope and pray I will have years ahead to spend time with Richard.
Richard goes to Ebenezer School and is in grade one, his best subject is maths. He like learning, playing on the school play equipment and being with his friends. He would like to be a pilot when he grows up.
Richards school fees are paid by two caring families, Richard and Denise Maltman are from Australia and Lillie Romeiser is from the U.S.A They also pay for uniforms, bags, shoes and other items the children need. We are so grateful for the love and support they have given to the children and the support to us. Thank you and God bless you.
If anyone would like to write to Richard then please send a letter to us and we will pass it on.
